For sale here is an 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip Heddon #35 Peerless Deluxe bamboo rod in excellent restored condition. Medium tempered cane with golden copper wraps and black tipping. Oxidized snake guides with red agate stripping guide and blued NS ferrules. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. This is a size 2 1/2F rod, best with a 6 or 7wt line. Marked "Heddon Deluxe" in spiral writing on the butt. Strap & ring hook keeper, 7.25" cork grip (slightly soiled with moderate ridging), and down-locking reel seat over Circassian walnut spacer. Strong, medium fast action. The #35 Peerless was Heddon's longest lived model, and this one dates to the early 1950's towards the end of the run. Nicely restored, the varnish is perfect except on slight ding below the agate guide. This doesn't require immediate attention and should buff out without too much trouble. Sold in the original bag and tube with intact data label.
