For sale here is an H.S. "Pinky" Gillum 8'3" 2/2 6wt bamboo rod. Excellent condition, the rod was revarnished by Steve Blake and the original wraps were kept intact. Most likely made as an 8'3", the actual length is 8'3.5". Oven tempered cane with lightly oxidized snake guides and Perfection stripping guide. Wraps are golden tan with black & white (faded to a light gold) accents. Blued Super-Z ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length, straight & serialized (I-689). Tips are wrapped for ease of rotation. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6.5" grip and up-locking aluminum reel seat over African mahogany spacer. The cork is soiled with light ridging, and the screw collar retains the H.S. Gillum roll stamp. Weight is 4.60oz. A superb 6wt trout rod with medium fast, progressive action. The rod received a sympathetic revarnishing and is good to go for another 60 years. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube.
