Elder, Curt - 8'3" 2/2 5wt Hollow Built Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8'3" 2/2 5wt hollow hex bamboo rod from the bench of Curt Elder. Brand new from the maker, #61895. Medium toned cane, 3x3 nodes, lightly oxidized snake guides and red agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent with oxblood tipping. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight & serialized. The female ferrule is fitted with a nickel silver and walnut ferrule plug. 5.75" grip is under plastic, and the blued screw-lock reel seat has the maker's stamp on the collar. Scripted and actual weight is 4.3oz. Action on the medium side of medium fast, it flexes into the butt section and offers a nice blend of power and finesse. Strong enough to throw a hopper on a windy day but delicate enough for spring creeks, I think it's best with a DT5. Sold in the original bad and tube with the maker's data label affixed.
