Edwards Quadrate - Model #50 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Fly Rod

For sale here is an Edwards Quadrate model #50, 8' 3/2 bamboo rod in very good original condition. Medium flamed cane  with oxidized snake guides wrapped in chestnut silks with crimson tipping. Ferrules fit perfectly and are witness marked for ease of alignment. Strap & ring hook keeper with alternating signature wraps framing the white ink script (faded yellow over time). The varnish has softened slightly and has minor checks and bag marks throughout. Very much fishable as-is, though it would benefit from a light buffing. Squared black bakelite winding check and black up-locking reel seat with uncommon white bakelite butt cap. The 5.5" cork grip is soiled and was the subject of a halfhearted cleaning at some point. The weight is 4.62oz and the action is on the faster side of medium fast. A nice dry fly rod for a 5wt line. Sold in original bag and handsome leather tube with silver Edwards decal.
