For sale here is a Mark Canfield "Secret Creek Sp.", 7'2" 2/2 4wt bamboo rod. Near mint, it appears to be lawn cast only. "Natural" tempered cane with 3x3 nodes, dark snake guides and fine agate stripping guide. Wraps are pale green with golden tipping and dark red accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#495). Truncated Super Z ferrules fit perfectly. 5.25" grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with blued cap & ring hardware over a beautiful mortised Western Yellow Cedar spacer. The maker's stamps are clean and crisp on the reel seat cap. Weight is 3.66oz. A progressive dry fly taper. Fast action with a relatively fast tip taper. It feels like a great dry fly rod with a WF4 and some may even prefer it with a DT5 for shorter casts. A near-new Canfield rod, sold in the original bag and tube with type written data label.
