For sale here is a 7'6" 2/2 4wt bamboo rod made by R.K. Bolt. This is one of Robert's earlier rods, made prior to his purchase of the Howells shop (serial #7-98). Medium flamed cane with 3x3 nodes. Dark guides wrapped in transparent honey-colored wraps with dark accents. All sections are straight and full length. Ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Bent wire hook keeper, 6.2" cork grip (clean & smooth), and cap & ring reel seat over cork spacer. The rod is in near mint condition, aside from some minute scratches to the reel seat hardware I see no sign the rod was ever used. Weight is 3.28oz. Medium action, the rod loads deeply towards the grip with a DT4. An excellent example of Mr. Bolt's early work, sold in the original bag and tube with data label affixed.
