Winston - Pre-IM6 8' 5wt, 2-pc Graphite Rod

For sale here is an early Winston 8' 2-pc 5wt graphite rod in excellent used condition. Pre-im6, this is from the original run of Winston graphite, made in San Francisco just prior to the move to Montana. Built on an unserialized, sanded blank made by J. Kennedy Fischer. Bright guides wrapped in dark green windings with strap & ring hook keeper and bell ferrule. Gold trophy cup logo on the butt between the grip and the stripping guide. 6" grip is clean and smooth. Down-locking aluminum reel seat over dark wood spacer. Excellent condition throughout, this rod has been used sparingly and well cared for. The action is medium fast, and the ultra-low modulus graphite gives a level of finesse that is simply unavailable in modern graphite rods. Sold in the original lime green bag and tube with beige Winston decal.
