Weiler, Art - 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod (Garrison 212x Taper)

For sale here is an Art Weiler Garrison 212x taper, 8' 3/2 5wt bamboo rod in near mint condition. Blonde cane with dark guides and large carbide stripping guide. Ferrules have dark windings, and the tips are marked red/green in the Garrison style. Ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are full length and serialized (#1006). Both tips have very faint droops, although the rod looks unused. Bent loop hook keeper, 6.5" cork grip (bright and smooth), and down-locking reel seat over burl spacer. Weight is 5.61oz. Medium fast action, the rod has a powerful feel but loads into the butt section with a heavier WF5. The "x" designates Weiler's conversion from the 2-piece format to 3-piece (Garrison's original 212 is a 2-pc). Art Weiler is known for his Garrison taper rods and this is a rather nice one, packed into the original bag and tube with maker's label affixed.
