For sale here is a Chris Vance 8'8" 2/2 4wt hollow built rod in excellent+ used condition. Flamed cane with 2x2 nodes and book-matched tips. Oxidized snake guides and carbide stripping guide wrapped in transparent brown silks with dark accents. All sections are full length, straight & serialized (#120), and the micro-Swiss ferrules fit perfectly. Signature wraps at 18" & 20" from the butt, and decorative wraps of increasing size towards the grip. A moderately swelled butt leads into the 6" grip (smooth with light hand soiling). Knurled & blued cap & ring reel seat over fine mahogany spacer. Minor bluing loss to the reel seat hardware, this rod has seen sparing use and remains in fantastic shape. Scripted and actual weight is 3.36oz. Action on the faster side of medium fast, it's light in the hand with very quick recovery. The swelled butt adds some power and overall the action is rather positive. An ideal dry fly rod, best with a DT4. Sold in the original bag and tube with maker's decal affixed and custom canvas tube protector.
