Unmarked - 6'6" 2/2 4wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 6'6" 2/2 4wt bamboo rod by an unknown maker, probably built on a leftover blank from when the H.L. Leonard Rod Co. shut its doors. Flamed cane with 3x3 nodes, dark snake guides and pale yellow windings. Blued ferrule fit perfectly and the male shoulders are knurled. 5" grip is smooth & soiled, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over fine wood spacer. Weight is 2.86oz. Medium fast action, perfect with a DT4. The varnish has a few small nicks/scratches, but the rod has been well cared for. I can't be sure who the maker is, but it is nicely finished and the blank has the look of a late-era Leonard. Sold in tan canvas bag and brass capped (Leonard-esque) tube.
