Tom Morgan Rodsmiths - 7' 2pc 3wt Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is a 7' 2pc 3wt fiberglass rod from Tom Morgan Rodsmiths. Excellent+ / near mint condition, the rod had clearly spent very little time out of its tube. Serial #2013-3-12, made while Tom and Gerri were still at the helm at TMR. Brick red blank with bright snake guides and red agate stripping guide, wrapped in burgundy windings with gold accents. Spigot ferrules fit perfectly with a gap to allow for wear. The sections are serialized, and the tip is fitted with a NS tip check. 6.25" wells grip is buttery smooth and bears some light staining seen on many rods from this time period at TMR (the suede lining of the rod bags tends to discolor the grips). Bright cap & ring reel seat over mortised burl spacer. Matching TMR inserts on the butt cap and tube cap. Weight is 2.95oz. Medium fiberglass action, it casts nicely with a WF or DT3. The original owner's name is inked on the butt under the serial number. A beautiful TMR glass rod, made during Tom's lifetime. Sold in the original bag and heirloom tube with quilted tube protector.
