For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas 'Specialist', 7'6" 2/2 4wt bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. Featuring mottled flamed cane with 3x3 nodes, bronzed snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent with light brown tipping and dark chestnut over the ferrules. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#5529). Ferrules fit perfectly, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Swelled butt with strap & ring hook keeper, 5.5" cork grip w/ nickel silver checks and blued cap & ring reel seat over dark walnut spacer. The cork is smooth with a hint of soiling. The varnish remains excellent throughout, and the rod shows little signs of use. Weight is 4.09oz. Medium fast action, one of the best 4wt dry fly rods produced by T&T. Sold in the original bag w/ stiffener and custom brass capped tube with makers label intact.
