For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas 'Sextant' 8'5" 2/2 10wt bamboo saltwater rod in mint condition. Serial #5856. Featuring tiger striped flamed bamboo, hunter green windings, oversized snake guides and ceramic stripping guides. Everything about this rod was purpose built for the salt. All sections are full length, serialized and straight as a pin. Bright ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a NS/cork ferrule plug. A swelled butt leads into the 7" full wells grip (bright & smooth), and the rod is fitted with a milled aluminum, salt-safe reel seat with fixed cork fighting butt. Weight is 7.37oz. A fast action 10wt, this is the tarpon hunter in T&T's lauded Sextant series rods. As new, sold in the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube.
