For sale here is an 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod from the bench of Mike Clark at South Creek Ltd. Mint condition, the rod has been lawn casted, but I see no evidence it was ever fished. Honey colored cane with dark snake guides and red agate stripper, wrapped in bright green windings with gold & claret tipping. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#20013). Ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. The butt and mid-male ferrules each have a tiny dark bubble coming through the bright green windings. They appear to be ferrule adhesive and are purely cosmetic. 6.3" grip is made up of 1/4" rings and remains smooth and bright. Blued nickel silver reel seat over highly figured wood spacer. The South Creek Ltd. stamp is retained on the reel seat collar. Weight is 5.68oz. Action on the medium side of medium fast, the rod flexes into the butt section and has plenty of power for long and accurate casts. A fine example of Mike Clark's work, sold in the original bag and tube with gold data label (the label has seen better days).
