Schroeder, D.G. - 8'6" 2/2 8wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Don Schroeder 8'6" 2/2 8wt salmon rod in excellent used condition. Medium tempered cane with dark guides and brown windings with black tipping. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length and serialized (#9694). Both tips have slight fish fighting sets, but I would characterize them as minor. Nickel silver winding check with integrated hook keeper ring. 7" cork grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with an up-locking aluminum reel seat over tiger maple spacer. The screw collar reads "D.G. Schroeder Rod Co.". 3.5" fighting butt is removable and a bottom pocket in the rod bag contains an aluminum plug for use without the fighting butt. Weight is 7.67oz with the fighting butt and just over 6oz without. Medium fast action, the rod feels nimble but quite strong. A nice option for heavier lines & shooting heads. Sold in the original bag and tube with maker's card affixed.
