For sale here is a Dickerson 8014 taper 2/2 5wt bamboo rod made by Jim Schaaf. Excellent used condition, featuring medium toned cane with 2x2 node work, bright guides and dark carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent brown with black tipping, and the butt section bears the traditional Dickerson signature wraps. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length and serialized (3-80-94). Both tips have light sets that look correctable. Bent loop hook keeper, 5.5" grip (soiled but smooth), and down-locking reel seat over walnut spacer. The nickel silver pocketed butt cap reads "James Schaaf - Maker". Weight is 4.44oz. On the medium side of medium fast, best with a DT4. A nice rendition of the Dickerson 8014 by the one-time custodian of the Dickerson shop. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube with red canvas tube protector.
