For sale here is an early Sage LL 389, 8'9" 2-piece 3wt graphite rod in excellent used condition. Deep burgundy blank with bright guides. The blank is in great shape and has clearly seen very little use. Strap and ring hook keeper, metal winding check, and the 6.5" grip is clean and smooth. The rod also features the seldom seen nickel silver cap & ring reel seat over wood spacer. The 389 was a landmark taper for Sage and it remains one of the finest longer length 3wts. It's uncommon to see an early rod like this in such good condition. Sold in the original bag and tube.
