Robichaud, D.L. - Traditional #5 Fly Reel (3")

For sale here is a D.L. Robichaud 3" Traditional fly reel in very good used condition. The Traditional series came in 7 sizes, this is the #5. RHW with a fixed check. Fully machined, black sideplates, silver frame and spool. The S-handle is counterbalanced, and the reel is incredibly smooth with a great sounding "click". A few nicks and scratches in the usual spots and some light mounting marks to the foot. The bottom pillar has a tiny spot of wear/line burn from use with a less than clean silk line. 3" diameter, spool width is 7/8" and the reel weighs just over 4.5oz. Robichaud reels were made in the 1990's and they represent a perfect pairing of modern materials and timeless design. The #5 is an appropriate size for most 4-5wt fishing. Sold in a shearling lined suede zipper case.
