Reams, James - 8'6" 2/2, 4wt Hollow Built Bamboo Fly Rod (Pending)

For sale here is a Jim Reams hollow built 8'6" 4wt, 2-piece / 2-tip bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. Lightly tempered cane with 2-opposed node spacing, oxidized guides and dark carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent caramel with dark brown tipping. All sections are full length, straight and serialized (#197). Truncated Swiss-style ferrules are blued, and the fits are perfect. 6.2" grip turned from 1/4" flor-grade rings (clean & smooth). Blued slide band reel seat over mortised burl spacer. Weight is 3.95oz. A smooth casting hollow 4wt, on the faster side of medium fast. Jim Reams is well known for his innovative hollow building and focus on performance & aesthetics. This rod would cover my bases in a ton of different fishing situations. Sold in the original bag and brass capped aluminum tube with maker's data label. Also included is a handsome Galco leather tube with Reams' logo - an expensive upgrade at the time.
