For sale here is an E.C. Powell 9'3" A-taper, 2-piece / 2-tip semi-hollow bamboo rod in good used condition. All original except for one tip-tip being rewrapped. The rod features dark straw-colored cane with tungsten steel guides and red agate stripper wrapped in dark gold windings. The butt section is inked with the semi-hollowing patent number above the standard white & black accent wraps. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrule fit is perfect. The rod is fitted with a u-shaped hook keeper and up-locking reel seat over black composite spacer. The bottom of the reel seat retains the E.C. Powell stamping. The 6" cork grip with thumb relief is soiled and mostly smooth. A very nice A-taper Powell (tip flexing/butt resisting). It casts a DT6 well, but I suspect it would cast a 5wt line as well.
