Payne - 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8' 3/2 5wt Payne bamboo rod in excellent restored condition. Medium tempered cane with dark guides wrapped in light brown windings & gold tipping. Blued ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are full length, and both tips have light sets. Strap & ring hook keeper (the keeper wraps may be original), 6" grip (smooth with light soiling), and the standard up-locking Payne reel seat over Spanish cedar spacer. The screw collar bears the Payne roll stamp and "Made for Abercrombie & Fitch" on the reverse. Weight is 4.41oz. No hang tag, but this is probably a model 201. Medium 5wt action. The restoration work is nice, and the rod shows minor signs of use since then. Sold in a replacement bag and tube.
