For sale here is a Kagerow Main River 8'3" 3/1 5wt from the bench of Japanese rod maker Hideto Ishida. Mint condition, the rod appears unused. Medium tempered cane with oxidized snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are hunter green with black accents. Blued 16/64 & 11/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and the females are fitted with wood & cork plugs. All sections are straight & full length. 6" cork grip is smooth & bright, and the rod is fitted with a blued screw-lock reel seat over burl spacer. The butt cap is made of dark wood and a blued nickel silver end cap. Master Ishida's labor intensive Urushi finish is absolutely perfect. Weight is 5.36oz. Medium fast action, the taper feels quite progressive and it feels like a true 5wt. Sold in the original bag and tube with maker's decal affixed.
