For sale here is a Kabuto 8053, 8' 3pc 5wt fiberglass rod in excellent+ condition. Built on a dark yellow blank with lightly oxidized snake guides and red agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent with black tipping. Spigot ferrule fit perfectly with gaps to allow for wear and each section is serialized (4033). 6.4" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over flamed bamboo spacer. Weight is 4.09oz. Medium fast fiberglass action, it feels like a very nice option for a "do it all" glass trout rod. The only sign of use is some minor bluing loss to the reel seat hardware and the bezel on the stripping guide. Otherwise excellent, and the aesthetics are superb. Sold in the original bag and fiberglass clad aluminum tube with maker's data decal.
