Hexagraph Fly Rod Co. - 7'6" 2pc, 7/8wt Rod

For sale here is a7'6" 2pc 7-8wt Hexagraph fly rod made in Chico CA by Harry Briscoe. Built using strips of carbon fiber fabric bonded to an aeronautical foam core. The result is a hexagonal graphite rod with absolute consistency of taper and construction. The blank is painted light gold and could be mistaken for a split cane rod from afar. Bright guides wrapped in green windings with intermediates throughout. Nickel silver ferrules fit perfectly. 7.7" wells grip is clean & smooth, and the rod is fitted with an up-locking anodized reel seat over wood spacer. The butt cap threads off to accept a 1.5" cork fighting butt. Weight is 4.8oz without the fighting butt. Labeled as a 7/8wt but I think it's best with a WF7 and it might take a 6wt line also. Excellent condition throughout with a few scuffs/scratches to the clear coat from light use. The original owner's initials are scripted on the butt. Sold in the original bag and tube.
