For sale here is a 4 1/4" Hardy Perfect widespool fly reel in very good condition. 1917 check work, the reel features a dark leaded finish, ivorine handle grasp and rotating line guard. The rim mounted tensioner works as intended with nice resistance throughout its range. The reel foot is a replacement, designed to fit modern reel seats. The finish shows light wear in the usual spots, but overall, this is a very clean example of a 1917 check Hardy salmon Perfect. A nice pairing for your favorite 8/9wt spey rod.
