Hardy - Perfect 3" Widespool Fly Reel

For sale here is a scarce Hardy Perfect 3" widespool reel. Pre-WWII vintage, very good used condition with two notes. First, the reel foot has been filed on both end and re-riveted. The filing appears to have made the foot a bit thinner, but it hasn't lost much (if any) length. Second, there is a hairline crack in the winding plate, less than 1/4" in length. It's only visible on the interior of the reel and I need a magnifying glass to really see it, but it's there. The leaded finish is worn to a gray patina, and the tensioner works as intended. Weight is 6.42oz. A nice reel for 5/6/7wt fishing. The 3" was the smallest widespool Perfect made in the interwar period. They are somewhat rare and rather coveted; they almost never hit the secondary market. This one is ready to fish and comes in a generic drawstring pouch.
