Hardy - Perfect 3 7/8" Fly Reel - LHW

For sale here is a very rare LHW 3 7/8" pre-war Hardy Perfect in very good used condition. True LHW with leaded finish, rim mounted tensioner and flawless agate line guard. Ribbed brass "canoe" foot is unaltered. The finish has worn to a dull gray, and the handle grasp has a bit of sun fading. A few small dings and scratches throughout from honest use, the reel remains mechanically tight as a drum. The winding plate has the original owner's name & address professionally engraved. The nickel silver spool retaining screw is a bit buggered, but functions normally. Good resistance to the tensioner. Weight is 9.66oz loaded with backing. True LHW pre-war Perfects are uncommon, and the 3 7/8" contracted is one of the rarer ones.
