For sale here is a 3 1/2" Hardy Widespool Perfect. RHW, 1930's or 40's vintage. Mark II checkwork with revolving line guard and large ebonite handle grasp. The ribbed brass foot has been neatly filed. Rim-mounted tensioner works as intended. Mechanically tight with zero end-play. The reel received a light coat of dark gray paint in the past, though it has worn off in places showing the leaded finish underneath. A good user reel in a rather desirable size, despite the cosmetic considerations. From the collection of Per G. Brandin.
