Hardy - C.C. de France, 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8' Hardy C.C. de France 3/2 5wt bamboo rod. Partially restored by Dwight Lyons, the rod features lightly tempered cane with English-twist guides wrapped in dark maroon windings. Full intermediate wraps throughout. The sections are full length and both tips have slight fish-fighting sets. The original ferrule plug is present for the butt section only, but it doesn't fit snugly. Skeleton cork grip & reel seat with aluminum slide band. The cork is soiled and lightly ridged, and the slide band is serialized (E86735). The spiral script above the winding check appears to have been traced over during the restoration. The cane is free of repairs, but the butt/mid ferrule has a click and deserves to be re-set. All the ferrule wraps have some degree of cracking/varnish loss, the worst being on the butt ferrule. The 8' C.C. de France is a well-liked taper and an excellent all-around trout rod. It requires a little attention, but it shouldn't take much to get this rod back in fighting shape. Sold in the original green twill bag with Hardy logo and replacement "Lifetime Magnesium Metal" tube with Scientific Anglers logo mostly intact.
