Granger / Wright & McGill - Victory 8040, 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Wright & McGill Granger Victory 8040, 8' 3/2 5wt bamboo rod. Good used condition, the mid had been refinished and the bottom snake guide is a replacement. One tip has a much lighter tone to the cane, and I believe it is a replacement. Ammoniated cane with dark guides and variegated wraps. Ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are full length. Both tips’ ferrules are mounted slightly off center, but the bamboo is straight. Rubber stamps are faint but intact on the butt section above the grip, one reading "Wright & McGill" and the other reading "Granger Victory". 6.5" cork grip is soiled with light ridging, and the rod is fitted with the patented screw lock reel seat. Weight is 4.71oz. Medium fast action, a smooth casting 5wt and maybe the best "all around" Granger tapers. Sold in the correct back and fiber tube with paper label intact.
