For sale here is a 2 1/2" Charles Farlow Perfect-style reel in fair condition. Leaded finish, fixed RHW caliper check and smooth brass foot. The spool side diameter is 2.55" and the winding plate side is 2.81". Stamped on the winding plate C. Farlow & Co. Ltd. London and the "Holdfast" logo below. The winding plate has a large crack next to the handle grasp. The winding plate itself is pushed in slightly and there is a bit of a hitch when cranking where the lowest spot rubs on the brass block containing the pawl. An interesting little Farlow’s plate wind reel that could use some TLC.
