For sale here is a Dickerson 801510, 8' 3/2 5wt bamboo rod. Made in 1953, the rod is in excellent restored condition. Medium tempered cane with oxidized guides wrapped in translucent brown silks with dark tipping. 4 signature wraps on the butt section, along with the script "Dickerson - Bergman 801510" and the original owners name & the year. Sections are straight, full length and free of repair. Ferrules fit perfectly. Bent loop hook keeper, 5.8" cork grip is soiled and slightly ridged. Downlocking reel seat over walnut spacer. A nicely restored rod, ready to get back on the water. Action is medium fast, and I prefer it with a DT5. A very pleasant caster, capable of fishing dries or wets. Sold in the original bag and tube with replacement brass cap (the original would have been black composite). The tube has an aftermarket Dickerson label and packs into a burgundy tube protector.
