Dickerson, Lyle - Model 8015 Special, 8' 2/2 6wt Bamboo Fly Rod

For sale here is a Lyle Dickerson model 8015 Special, 8' 2-piece/2-tip 6wt bamboo rod in good original condition. Made in 1960, the rod features bright guides and tip tops wrapped in light brown thread. Original varnish is in good condition with a few small chips and a protective stripe of varnish over the signature. 4 narrow signature wraps between the perfection style stripping guide and the Dickerson signature and model name. The rod is inked with the customers name and date. Bent wire loop hook keeper, reverse half wells cork grip and aluminum down locking reel seat over walnut space. The nickel silver pocketed butt cap is pivoting slightly on it's pin, and the grip appears to have been cleaned. A few condition notes: the 15/64 ferrules are pinned, but there is a faint click where the female is no longer adhered to the cane. One tip section is missing the tip top and the second snake guide up from the ferrule has one foot that has pulled out of its wraps. This tip section also has a slight fishing set in the top 18". The other tip and the butt section are straight. The action is medium fast and the rod throws a DT6 with authority. Sold with replacement bag and no tube. A relatively scarce Dickerson model, priced to sell given the condition notes.
