Dickerson, Lyle - Model 761510, 7'6" 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Dickerson 761510, 7'6" 3/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent, partially restored condition. 3x3 nodes with bronzed snake guides and red agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent orange with black tipping. The wraps look original, but I can see that the varnish on the rod was carefully stripped away between each guide and the whole rod was revarnished. The original varnish under each guide was left intact, leaving a slightly thicker coat that is a shade or two darker than the cane between guides. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length & straight. The butt section retains the original 4 signature wraps as well as the original script which reads "Dickerson 761510 R.B. (Ray Bergman) and the original owner's name on the opposite flat. 5.5" grip has been cleaned and has some light ridging. Coarse thread aluminum reel seat over walnut spacer. The pocketed nickel silver butt cap has some tarnish/oxidization. Weight is 3.84oz. Medium fast action, best with a DT5. The 761510 was a popular taper for Mr. Dickerson and it remains an excellent all-around 3pc trout taper. Sold in the original fold over bag and brass capped tube. The tube cap is a rarely seen version with 2 raised concentric rings. The tube collar is split and currently held in place with a zip tie; the next owner may wish to re-glue it.
