For sale here is a Brandin Model 867-3 S/S, 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 7wt hollow built bamboo rod in excellent condition. 6-strip construction, featuring flamed cane with oxidized guides and red agate stripping guide, pale brown silk wraps with dark accents. Marked on the tube as a "Mahogany", the rod recently received a complete refinishing by the maker and the mahogany color was stripped out. All the wraps and varnish are fresh. Ferrules fit perfectly and the females are fitted with micarta & cork ferrule plugs. All sections are straight, full length and serialized (#2/16). 6.5" modified Wells grip (smooth with light soiling), and up-locking screw lock reel seat over mahogany spacer. The butt cap removes to accept a 2.25" fighting butt. There are 2 hairline cracks in a flat near the grip, they are both filled with glue and are purely cosmetic. This is a personal rod of Per's, mostly used on Atlantic Salmon trips in Canada's Maritime provinces. It has seen some use (and some fish!) but remains in excellent condition after its recent trip to Per's shop and is ready to get back on the water.
