For sale here is an 805-3df, 8' 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt hollowbuilt quad bamboo rod from the bench of Per Brandin. This is a shop rod/demo rod and is marked "demo only / not for sale". Featuring oxidized snake guides and light red agate stripping guide wrapped in pale green silks with black accents. Each section is straight & full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. The tips are marked for ease of rotation. The 6.25" cork grip is smooth and clean and consists of alternating 1/2" & 1/4" rings. The rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over mahogany spacer. The cane is moderately flamed, and the varnish is in excellent shape. Medium action with a semi-parabolic feel. It casts a WF5 or DT5 nicely. The rod has resorcinol glue lines, and there are a few darker spots, especially on one corner of the mid (purely cosmetic). Sold in the original bag and tube with data decal and canvas tube protector. From the collection of Per G. Brandin.
