Aroner, Marc - Hunt Pattern Special 7'6" 3/2 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Aroner 7'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 6wt Hunt Pattern Special bamboo rod in mint condition. A stunning rod, complete with intricate signature & full intermediate wraps, pot-belly ferrules and a custom fighting butt that fits into a sleek compartment in the base of the tube. Medium tempered cane with "3-up" nodes and dark guides. Wraps are olive tipped red with gold accents. All sections are straight & full length. Ferrules fit perfectly and the females are fitted with knurled brass & cork ferrule plugs. Strap & ring hook keeper, blued nickel silver winding check and bright up-locking reel seat over blonde mortised spacer. The maker's roll stamp is clear and crisp on the reel seat collar, and the butt cap removes to accept a 2.5" aluminum fighting butt. Both the rod and fighting butt have the Payne-style acorn butt cap. Weight is 5.22oz. The varnish is perfect, and I don't think the rod has been cast. Action feels medium fast, and with the slightly swelled butt I can imagine this taper to be an authoritative 6wt.
