Winston - Pre-IM6 9' 4wt 2-piece Graphite Rod

For sale here is a Winston original graphite (pre-IM6), 9' 2-piece 4wt graphite rod in very good used condition. Serial #2448. Constructed of ultra low modulus graphite, the action is medium-fast (slow and full working, compared to most modern graphite). Built on a sanded green blank with bright hardware wrapped in dark green windings and red accents. Silver cup Winston logo on the butt section. Scripted weight is 2 1/4oz, but it's closer to 2 1/2oz on my scale. Spigot ferrules have a gap to allow for wear. U-shaped hook keeper with knurled winding check and 6.5" full wells grip. The cork is soiled but smooth. Nickel silver slide band & pocketed cap over cork spacer The spacer has some dark mounting marks, top and bottom. The blank is in very good condition overall with only a few small surface scratches. If you're looking for graphite 4wt with a nice mix of power & finesse, and the ability to protect very light tippet, this is the rod! Sold in the original lime green bag and aluminum tube.
