Whitehead, D.L. - Presentation 7'9" 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'9" 2/2 5wt presentation grade bamboo rod made by Darryl Whitehead. Excellent+/near mint condition, the only signs of use are some minor mounting marks to the reel seat. Wheat straw tempered cane with oxidized snake guides and transparent agate stripping guide. Wraps are jet black with white tipping. All sections are straight & full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly with a bone & NS ferrule plug for the female. 6" grip is smooth and clean, and the rod is fitted with a down-locking nickel silver reel seat over bone spacer. The reel seat hardware and ferrules are beautifully engraved, and the butt cap reads "D.L. Whitehead - Maker - SN 203". Weight is 4.61oz. Medium fast, progressive dry fly action. Perfect with a DT5. Whitehead rods are known for their performance and beauty, and his presentation grade rods are a sight to behold. This one is near-new and packs into the original bag and brass capped tube with maker's decal affixed.
