Volcano Rods (R. Johnson) - 7'6" 3/2 5wt Hollow Nodeless Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6" 3/2 5wt, hollow built and nodeless bamboo rod made by Randy Johnson of Volcano Fly Rods. Very good used condition, #10-1H. Fully nodeless construction with medium tempered cane, bright guides and fine agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent red with black tipping. Ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight & full length. 5.5" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitter with a nickel silver screw lock reel seat over dark wood spacer. The bottom cork ring on the grip is stable but slightly separated from the next ring. There is no movement on either side, but the gap is visible. Weight is 4.34oz. Pleasantly powerful, medium fast action. Randy Johnson made rods that were inspired by the best E.C. Powell tapers, and this feels most like a B-taper Powell. Johnson made some fantastic rods out of his shop in Volcano, California and this one is ready for service. Sold in the original bag and tube with custom canvas tube protector.
