For sale here is a Takemoto 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip hollow built 6-strip rod in excellent used condition. The rod features blonde cane with Take's patented single foot guide design. Fiberglass ferrules fit snugly, and they seat fully with no gap. All sections are straight and full length. 6" cork grip is protected by a plastic sleeve; however, the grip has some light soiling from use. Up-locking aluminum reel seat over burl spacer. This is an earlier rod with Take's original twisted single foot guides and matte/satin oil finish. A fast action 6wt and light in the hand. This rod uses Take's "T-construction" hollowing, and a cutoff is tethered to the rod bag for illustration. Takemoto rods have become quite coveted, and his understanding of rod tapers has helped him win several distance casting events at the Catskills Fly Fishing Center & Museum. This rod is sold in the original bag with stiffener and black powder coated aluminum tube.
