For sale here is a beautiful Jim Reams 8'6" 2/2 4-5wt hollow bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. Medium flamed cane with oxidized snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent olive with chocolate brown accents. Truncated Swiss ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are full length, straight & serialized (#387), and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Skeleton cork grip is clean and smooth. The bluing on the cap & ring reel seat hardware and the ferrules remains near perfect. Weight is 3.81oz. On the faster side of medium fast, a true 4/5wt rod, I can't decide if I like a DT4 or DT5 better. It handles both lines easily, but the 4wt line speeds up the rod a bit. Powerful yet crisp, an ideal rod for technical dry-fly waters (Henry's Fork, Missouri, etc.). Nearly new condition, I don't think this rod has seen more than just a few days on the water. Sold in the original bag and tube with custom canvas tube protector.
