For sale here is a 7'8" 2/2 3wt hollow built bamboo rod from the bench of Jim Reams. Excellent+ used condition, #170. Flamed bamboo with 2-opposed nodes, dark snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent tan with dark tipping. Ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length, straight & serialized. 6" grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with Jim's signature slide band reel seat with flared burl spacer. Minor bluing to the slide band and the nickel silver butt plate, otherwise the rod looks lightly used and very well cared for. Weight is 3.28oz. Medium fast action, the rod has lots of feel and nice recovery. The tube label indicated a 4wt, but this appears to be a typo. I like it with a WF3, a dream small stream rod. Sold in the original bag and tube with custom tube protector.
