Payne - Model 198 Bamboo Fly Rod

For sale here is a Payne model 198, 7'6" 3 piece/2 tip bamboo rod. The rod was masterfully restored by Jack Coyle and remains in mint restored condition. All sections straight and full length, ferrules measure 15/64 and 10/64 and the fit is perfect. Classic western style cork grip and up-locking aluminum reel seat over Spanish cedar spacer. Wrapped in chestnut brown and gold silk windings with dark purple tipping at the hook keeper and male ferrules. Rod weighs 4.42 oz. Includes original bag and tube.
