For sale here is very rare Paul Young Parabolic 16, 8'6" 2/2 7wt bamboo rod in very good condition. All original except each tip has single rewrapped guide foot, and all the wraps have received a varnish overcoat that is a bit thick in some spots. Medium flamed cane, bright guides and antique gold wraps. The ferrules have a faint click to them, but this shores up nicely with a light coat of quality ferrule wax. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#1961). Inked on the butt sections "Parabolic 16 Deluxe - 8 1/2' 4.51oz H.C.H. H.C.F". Bent loop hook keeper and skeleton cork grip & reel seat. The butt cap and slide band are almost devoid of their original bluing, and the cork is soiled with light to moderate ridging (the reel seat portion is ridged). Actual weight is 4.59. Powerful parabolic action, this rod loads deep into the grip with a DT7. An interesting rod and one of the rarest Paul Young tapers. Sold in the original faded blue bag with brown piping, and what I believe is the original Champion tube. A previous owner's name is neatly engraved on the cap.
