Orvis - Battenkill 8' 2/1 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill 8" 2/1 6wt impregnated bamboo rod in near mint condition. Flamed cane with 3x3 nodes and bright guides with transparent brown windings. The sections are straight, full length & serialized (#70284) and the 12/64 ferrules fit perfectly. Cork grip is smooth & clean, and the rod is fitted with Orvis' standard downlocking reel seat hardware. All script on the rod is clear and bold, and the original owner's name is inked on the butt. Scripted weight is 4 1/8oz but my scale reads a hair over that. Medium, full flexing action. As with most Orvis Battenkill rods, most anglers will prefer 1 line weight less (in this case a DT or WF5). This rod has been lawn cast but I don't think it has ever seen the water. Made originally as a single tip rod in 1973, sold in the original bag & tube.
