For sale here is a spectacular Ron Kusse Magnum Opus 7' 2/2 quad 4wt bamboo rod in mint condition. Built on a flamed blank with dark guides and transparent golden bronze windings. Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length & straight. The grip and reel seat are formed from one piece of highly figured walnut, and the cap & ring reel seat hardware retains its dark bluing. The butt cap has the maker's roll stamp and "Magnum O-pus" on the reverse. Weight is 4.69oz. Rated as a 4wt, but it feels like a 5wt in my hands. Action on the fast side of medium fast. The Magnum Opus rods are the pinnacle of Kusse's rod making and they don't pop up very often. This one looks like it has never been cast; absolutely stunning. Sold in the original bag with hangtag and solid brass tube.
