For sale here is an 'Emotion' 7'6" 2/2 4wt "R-quad" bamboo rod made by Danny Heus of Keone Rodsmiths. A disciple of Mike Montagne, this Heus rod is of hollow built construction and utilizes the R-quad geometry pioneered by Montagne. Excellent+ condition, the rod has seen little use. Bright guides wrapped in brown windings and ceramic stripping guide. Alloy ferrules are overwrapped with black thread. Each section is full length and serialized (#20673). The strips were cut to follow the cane's power fibers as closely as possible, thus the sections aren't perfectly straight (made this way). Bent wire hook keeper, tapered 6.5" cork grip (clean & smooth), and up-locking reel seat over fine wood spacer. Very fast action with incredibly quick recovery. Rated as a 4wt, but I prefer it with a DT5. Rods from Danny Heus don't come up for sale very often; this one is a pleasure to cast and doubtless it will be fun to fish. Sold in the original bag and deluxe leather clad tube with custom brass hardware.
