For sale here is a Gary Howells 7'6" 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #3931, made in 1972 for Angler's All. 3 1/4oz scripted and actual weight. Medium tempered cane with bright guides wrapped in chocolate brown silks with gold tipping. Overwrapped ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight, full length & serialized. All-cork grip & reel seat with aluminum slide band and pocketed butt cap w/ Bakelite base. Varnish is excellent throughout, and the cork is smooth and lightly soiled. A medium action 5wt and one of Gary's more desirable tapers. Don't miss this early Howells rod! Sold in the original bag and tube with intact label (under packing tape).
