For sale here is an 8'9" 2pc 8wt fiberglass rod, custom built on a Ferdinand Claudio blank. Excellent used condition. Mahogany brown blank with bright guides wrapped in chestnut windings with gold tipping. Spigot ferrules fit perfectly with a small gap to allow for wear. Signed on the butt section "F. Claudio 898A", although the writing is not Ferd Claudio's 7" cork grip is slightly soiled with just a hint of ridging. Up-locking gold reel seat over fine wood spacer. A powerful, deep flexing 8wt rod, originally designed for steelhead/salmon fishing. The finishes may not be Claudio's but whoever did the work knew what they were doing. The rod packs into the correct bag and tube with an original FM Claudio label affixed.
